Hello dear friend @kampen ,

Please excuse my frustrations as my lack of patience about all this errors.
Maybe because I know all these spec's by default are always present on my mind, I wrongfully expect that everyone should also have this methods as spec's based on the graphics, and all kind of explanations that I have exposed here many times... should be the same for all as I do.

I know you -and your team- have been the ONLY ONES on this Forum, that has always FULLY cooperated with me since the beginning of this Topic, and I DO appreciate that!

Therefore, I owe you an apology!

Going back on this Three Coils build:

The Q Coils that you have are done with 28 ga, correct?
Because that is what we calculated previously, as I reviewed all our past posts since the proposal of the 5 Coils setup.(pages 176-177)

On your previous post on page 176: https://overunitymachines.com/index.php?msg=3267
There you expose your build spec's related to Q & FC Coils.

On the Feedback Coils FC's I calculated that -for this Low V application at Input- it could be done with just 23 gauge, just to obtain around 14V with higher amps, in order to Supply Power to feedback the system, without any downgrade or buck converters.(just what is needed)

On the Main Secondary, since you are going to have such reduced space of only three single coils.
Then you could use 18 ga, which will give you more turns that 16 ga would.

But definitively, yes, the Feedback Coils are meant to use coarser grade wire, similar to main secondary.

Again, the FC's Geometry must be as narrow (length across steel core) as possible.
As, since FC's are wound from the steel core itself, as nothing is limiting their Height, it will give you enough room so it will take also a coarser wire than previously discussed 23 ga.

You could prepare two sets of FC's Coils also with 18 ga, in order to test their difference in output, versus your existing ones with 23 ga.

Regards

REPLY to Message # 935 from Ufopolitics

Hello, dear friend Ufopolitics,

First of all, thank you very much for your kind message #935 and your sincere apology.
Of course, I fully accept your apology, my friend. There are absolutely no hard feelings!

I understand how frustrating it can be when something you have explained many times is not interpreted or constructed as you originally intended.
Please know that Guido and I genuinely appreciate the enormous amount of time, knowledge, and effort you have invested in this research and in helping us understand your proposed magnetic system.

We are all working toward the same goal: building the configuration correctly, carrying out careful measurements, and understanding the results.
Your latest clarification about the wire gauges is particularly helpful.

For our new SSD Testbench 2, I now propose the following winding plan:
1. Q1 – Q3 – Q2 (existing sequential coils)
We will retain our three existing Q coils for the initial 1–1–1 configuration
.
You mentioned AWG28 as the previously calculated wire gauge. I will check our original winding specifications and confirm the actual gauge rather than relying only on their measured resistance of approximately 8 Ω each.

2. New shortened Main Secondary – AWG18
Thank you for recommending AWG18 for the new shortened Main Secondary.
I agree that this is a practical compromise between the heavier AWG16 wire and the limited winding space available around our three Q coils.

I will therefore revise the winding calculations using AWG18, taking into account the available winding space, achievable number of turns, estimated resistance, and expected current capability.

The new Main Secondary bobbin has an overall length of 86 mm, with 76 mm available between its flanges.
Before winding it, I will verify that this active winding length matches the actual combined active length of Q1 + Q3 + Q2.

3. FC1 and FC2 – Existing coils versus new AWG18 versions
I also understand your recommendation concerning the feedback coils.
We will retain our existing FC1 and FC2 coils for comparison and prepare a second pair using AWG18 copper wire.

As you emphasized, the new FC coils should have the shortest practical axial winding length while allowing sufficient winding height to accommodate the heavier wire.
This will give us an interesting opportunity to compare the induced output voltage, current, and delivered power of the different FC constructions.
Of course, FC1 and FC2 will remain induced-output coils only, never externally powered.
After measuring them individually and verifying their polarity, we can also test their combined series-aiding output.

4. New SSD Testbench 2
I have decided to build a completely separate second testbench rather than dismantling our existing experimental setup.
This new testbench will use:
  • Our 25.8 × 25.8 mm square laminated CRNO core.
  • The newly designed steel clamp-brackets.
  • The corrected FC1 – steel plate – Q1 – Q3 – Q2 – steel plate – FC2 arrangement.
  • A new shortened Main Secondary wound with AWG18.
  • Initially, our existing Q1, Q3, Q2, and FC coils, followed by comparison tests with the new AWG18 feedback coils.

This way, Guido and I can preserve all our previous measurements and compare the original and corrected constructions under controlled operating conditions.

I believe this will provide much more useful experimental information than continuously modifying the same testbench.

Finally, dear Ufopolitics, please do not worry about our earlier misunderstanding.

We respect your work, and our intention has always been to cooperate constructively and report our experimental findings as accurately as possible.
Your latest explanation has helped us make another important improvement to our construction plan.

Thank you again for your friendship, your patience, and your continued guidance.

We will keep you informed as the new Main Secondary and Testbench 2 progress.

Warm regards,
Alex / Kampen
