My answers to your two questions:

1) Where did "1...28" come from?
From my incorrect assumption that we were using "two switches per coil." I mapped 14 coils → 28 legs.

That is my mistake.

2) Have you ever shown that design here?
No—the design you have been consistent about is the Series chain with tap-select,
one bidirectional switch per tap on each side Left/Negative taps 1–7, Right/Positive taps 1–7

Excellent, sounds like we've made some good progess by firming up our mutual understanding. It's better that these things come to light sooner rather than later.

Thanks for being so honest on your answer.

You could have simply respond with a "no"...and we will never be able to find out...but you chose the truth over everything, and I love that!

Now, and please, may I suggest that you re-wire the whole thing, based on Topology #1, and re-test it?

Before you get involved on any further and future changes, as taking apart your Board setup?

You will see some different results...basically related to the HV Spikes you were getting.

With Topology #2 your sequencing amperage was very high, even at 12V...since resistance was very low per single coil...with a Full Input Voltage per coil.

Please, re- test it again with Topology#1

Hello again dear friend,

Now, may I suggest that when you rewire based on Topology #1...

1- To use shorter wires from Board to your busbar connectors?...in order to have a clear and more clean view of all your connections.

Similar to the way you have wired from Coils to Busbar Connector, shorter and straight wires...

FINALLY RELATED TO WIRING:

Can you SET THE SERIES CONNECTIONS BETWEEN ALL COILS on the back side of Busbar Connector?

The way you have it now (shown on below image) are connected SEPARATELY, or for ONE Coil it takes TWO Connectors.

So, bring together each coil END to the next coil START, and JOINT THEM TOGETHER BY SOLDERING BOTH WIRES, and connect it to JUST ONE Busbar SINGLE Connector.

Then you will use much less busbar connectors...As ALL COILS will be connected in SERIES before getting to the Driver Boards.

This way you do NOT have to use JUMPERS on the NFET and PFET Side (it will be so much cleaner and BEAUTIFUL this way!! )

NOT to look like you have shown before:



2- And finally, please, the first test you do, make it WITHOUT ANY Diodes installed, OR ANY type of Flywheel diodes, or any Snubbers nor capacitors?

Just STRAIGHT and plain wires connecting directly from NFET and PFET Boards to the Sequential Coils as per Topology #1?

Start with 12V First Test...and you will be surprised that the 150V Spikes are no longer there...
