Hello all,

I wonder if anyone here can say how much a permanent magnet must move inside of a solenoid to induce a current ? Would be enough only 2 mm back and forth linear movement ? I know if a magnet pass all the way through a solenoid will yield voltage ... but do I really need to allow full passage if I am satisfied with just little voltage output ?
