Well, you can start by watching the video shown below...uploaded about eight years ago.

Please note that I am using 'particles displacement' -on the animated graphics- along the field lines, just to expose movement directions.

The Magnetic Field is a curvilinear Force, that impinges this flow of energy on the induced conductors.
The closer the Field is to induced, coil(s) the stronger these forces are induced.
