I was able to embody a quick device that validates the principle above. But I added an attracting magnet on top so that the attracting and repelling forces match thereby requiring very little work in to lift and drop the metal plate.  But with closer stronger and further weaker magnetic forces the magnet stack has to more further than the metal is lifted so the principle works but I don't see that the "juice is worth the squeezing". But if a coil is placed where the metal is a current could be made with little Lenz counter to rotation force.

This shows the extra magnetic attraction force that ballanced the repel force that turns the attraction to metal on and off...
Butch Lafonte did lots of these posts but never posted any measurements.

I made this and tested it an made a video of it. And the work in required to turn the metal attraction on and off is small but the real problem becomes closer stronger and further weaker compared to the switching on and off work.

You can easily test the concept by building the magnet stack and clamping it tight with wood and  glue aluminum to the stack so you can slip it in and out and watch the attraction to the metal attract and let go......

Then all is left to do is measure the work in and work out.
Turn the TV distraction and lies off and your will see.

There is a way to compensate for the further weaker force of magnets. I use a variable lever and it can be rigged to start lifting a small weight when the force is weaker and then as it raises it catches another small weight and so on.

So it winds up lifting 3 or 4 small weights total.

So picture 2 circles. The small one is what pulls the larger one from the magnetic attraction.
And the larger one has an arm attached and starts out at 5 PM where it has a small leverage disadvantage and as it raises it has more magnetic attraction and also more leverage disadvantage and can also lift additional weights.

So what it accomplishes is when the magnet gap is wide it can lift a small weight and then as it gets close and stronger it can lift other weights too. And because of the increased leverage disadvantage a greater distance which means more net work.

Here is what I think can be accomplished. I have made 8 or 10 overunity machines but the OU must be about 300% -400%  to do the switching reset to repeat the process but if we have a machine that has 200% OU then cascade that to 2 other larger machines then we would have 2 x 2x 2 = 800% OU which would surely be enough to be a self runner when fed back into the 1st machine to repeat the cycle.

But I find NO ONE EVEN INTERESTED ENOUGH TO EVEN ASK for any details.
